The Heritage

The Pontiac is very lucky because it has a very rich architectural and natural history. The log houses, the old farmhouses, and the wooden fences tell the story of the first inhabitants of this region, the woodsmen and the settlers. Each town has its own style. The red brick houses in Shawville, the stone houses in Portage-du-Fort, the log houses in Nicabeau and the trading post in Fort William. Each town is distinctive and that's what brings the past of the Pontiac into the present.
